I have taught people from the age of 4 to 74, but I would say the best age to start learning is probably about 11 They can read English and their fingers are strong (and long) enough to tackle the instrument properly.
(If younger, it's probably better to start on Ukulele as I did.) Lessons are generally one hour, but half hour training is available for children if you prefer.
Learn to play music, its never too late..
380 private students - I love teaching.
Guitar lessons
As a guitar teacher I believe the most important thing for a student to be able to do is have fun learning their instrument. I also believe the quickest way to progress is to try playing along with a suitable song recording from almost the first lesson.
Ukelele lessons
Ukulele is the perfect instrument for little hands (like mine when I started), and for those wanting to have fun in a simple way while they sing along.
You can play any song on a Ukulele from INXS, Beatles and Ed Sheeran to mum and dad's favourites..
There are four sizes to choose from for the perfect fit.
Harmony singing
Singing harmony is a great skill to learn and is in the biggest demand of all.
There is nothing like hearing and singing perfect harmony.
Think Queen, or think a Barbershop quartet.
With regular exercises I can teach you to do it - and everybody can do it.
